Once a new event has been created, the shares will be available for anyone to purchase. When a buyer purchases a share, you will be notified and once you have confirmed that a payment has been made, you should set the share to 'sold'. A seller can do this by clicking on the share and changing the status of the share to 'sold'.
If you want to change the status of multiple shares to 'sold' across multiple events, please visit this link (once logged in):

If you do not sell all your shares in an event, you are still expected to play the event. All unsold shares are assumed to be paid for by the seller. The seller does not need to manually purchase the shares for themselves.
If you do not sell any shares in the event, you do not have to play the event, and you can get a refund for the ChipMeUp fee that was charged to create the event.
Once the event start time has been reached, shares will no longer be available for purchase and the event status will change to 'running'.
Dersom du kansellerer et event, eller klikker på Jeg spilte ikke dette eventet', da skal du være berettiget til å få en refusjon. På detaljsiden for Eventene skal du kunne se en link 'Selgers refunderte avgifter (Seller Fee Refund').
Denne refusjonen er kun tilgjengelig dersom følgende stemmer:
- Du solgte ingen aksjer
- Du fylte ingen resultat for eventet
Click the "Payouts" link at the top of the Event page and follow the instructions.
Yes! If you are the seller of the event you can reserve a share for yourself or for a non-member.
To reserve the share simply click on the share(s) you would like to reserve and then click 'Reserve Pending Shares'.
You can then write a note on the share(s) to remind you who they were for.
Once a share has been reserved, it can be set back to 'open' by the seller at any stage before the event starts. It will then be available for anyone to purchase again.
Often when you are buying shares in a ChipMeUp member, and you only have a seller's login name as an identity.
The best way to verify a user on the site is to check their poker site usernames on their profile page. Professional or famous players will have a well known online screen name, and payment is usually processed via an online site with this name.
If you believe someone's poker site username doesn't match their identity then you may want to avoid purchasing shares in this player.
You should also check existing feedback on a seller via their profile page. This will give you a good indication of their transaction history with other ChipMeUp members in the past.
