Poker Strategy / not a tricky spot, but how to play it?? pre flop is meh, not terrible i guess. flop lead is good. i think you should be leading turn as well and folding if raised. once we check turn it puts us in an awkward spot on the river as to whether to check/call or check/fold; pretty close between the 2 in terms of EV though and neither is going to be much of a mistake (which is why barreling the turn makes the hand easier to play and maximises value, we can then c/c most rivers). |

Chipmeup Events / Event 1279: Crown Casino - Vic Champs - Event #5 - NL Holdem Hey guys, I made it through to day 2. i will be starting the day with 18K, which is just over 20BB.Was a pretty sick day, I bluffed off most of my stack in level 2 and spent the next 7 hours grinding a 10BB stack, which was pretty frustrating. I managed to get lucky at a couple of the right times, including getting aces on the very last orbit of the day with about 6 minutes to go, and doubled up blind vs blind. I think there are about 100 left to go through to day 2 from all the first 3 flights, and I assume about 50 will make the money, so gl us! |

General / OT / Where is wonker Reality Check:1. What it boils down to is whether or not the 15mins/2hours is binding. Clearly it isn't! Because nowhere did it say the payment MUST be made in that time OR the share becomes void. It said the share CAN be opened and released to somebody else: "If you click 'Payment Sent to player' below, the share will be reserved for you. If payment is not sent to the player, the share's status CAN be set back to open and sold to somebody else." Now Teqqi did not open the share until after the tournament started, long after he actually received payment - he had his cake and ate it too. Moomies should be paid. 2. Frank is an idiot and should be banned for his behaviour over this issue, its embarrassing and bad for the site imo. I can't believe anybody is supporting his actions (he must buy a lot of their shares). |

Chipmeup Events / Teqqi Doesnt Pay! Wow a guy has raised a serious concern and some of the responses are totally childish and ridiculous. I was embarrassed reading how some of you have responded to this.Teqqi has every chance to defend himself here. If somebody has a grievance then here is THE place to have it out and discuss it in a reasonable and mature manner. Not resort to childish name calling. What does Teqqi have to say in response? People who really don't know the background to this shouldn't be passing judgement one way or the other. |
