General / OT / Full Tilt Emails There's no way to communicate with FTP basically. E-mails are bounced back. What can we do? Also, we have to download an update that doesn't download, which means we can't even log on to the site. Are we just totally in the dark right now? |

General / OT / Late Registering for Tournaments I've been doing a little thinking about MTTs lately and was wondering what people think about registering late for tournaments. The type of tournament where late registering occurs most frequently are the On-Demand Rush SNGs on Full Tilt where 50-75% of the people in the field are late entries.From a pure ICM perspective, late registering is the nuts. With some people already knocked out, you've already gained ICM equity before you've even been dealt your first hand. From an analytical/logical perspective (without considering ICM), you'd be giving up an opportunity to gain chips and increase your odds of shipping it. Assuming you are the best (or at least one of the better players) in the field, you want to make and force your opponents to make as many decisions as possible. Because you make better decisions, you'll be gaining EV per hand dealt. So what's the answer? (If your answer uses the phrase "bankroll management" or not wanting to re-buy, be prepared to get flamed by rwestover because you are a life nit.) |

Is the Black Card Store just a huge piece of garbage?For 1.1 million points, you can get a $5,000 bonus from the Black Card store. That comes out to $.004545/point. Of course, there's the MGR impact on top of that so you only get 73% of that amount per point. You can buy a FTOPS ME ticket worth $640 in the regular FTP store for 127,500 points. This would be giving you $0.00502 per point. Of course, factoring in the MGR impact you only get 73% of that in the end. Is there something wrong with the math here? Are FTOPS ME tickets the best value in the FTP store? |

Based on the fact you posted this hand, you definitely tank called here, got "coolered" in this hand and finished 1st or 2nd in this tournament. You're going to say he never flat calls preflop with a hand like 55+, AJ+, KQ+. You rationalize there are not a lot of Qx hands in his range, and you believe that if he had a Qx hand, he would definitely not donk bet the flop all in. You call it off and he shows you two diamonds, perhaps the 76s, 64s, 97s, 96s or Axs. You lose the bulk of your stack and have what you think is an epic comeback. Good read? |

Poker Strategy / General rule for percentage of flops seen? Full Ring cash game NL.I believe the average % of flops you should see is roughly 10.5%. I believe there is a standard deviation of roughly 1% for this. There are certainly different styles of play, but if you're seeing something way more or way less than this number, then you're probably doing something wrong. |
