General / OT / ODDS need math help! goofy question...but here goes:Probably of AA 2 times in a row is considered an independent event. P(A) = AA; P(B) = AA. So, P(A and B) = P(A) * P(B) = 1/221 * 1/221 = 1/48841 Royal Flush (assuming all 4 suits are allowed): 1/649740 Much greater possibility to get AA- 2times in a row than it is to get a Royal because it relies on all 5 cards. So, pretty stupid if someone was to bet you about this. |

Looking for someone to start me off w/ a stake on AP "I know how these things work"....My first suggestion would be to head over to http://chipmeup.pokernews.com/faq and know how this site works. Create an event if you want someone to back you - you can copy off others' events to make sure you cover everything. Else, just to come on here to take away an investor without giving any money to CMU doesn't really help the community. |

General / OT / DaMatrix v Sara Underwood not sure if this is all USA, but when i ran into situation like this - i just contacted Better Business Bureau and surprisingly they were very quick to deal w/ me after that :) For something like this, it may be non-states or they just might not care...but word of mouth is usually the worst punishment for them if they try to stiff you |

News / Site Re-design - bugs/feature requests I'm still not seeing the cost of event/ROI on profile page for each event...so it takes a long time between each event to try to figure out what the heck they did on similar events...is this going to be fixed or are we just trying to sell more shares? |

Looking to back Players! / YOU WANT HEM? So are we to assume you've given up poker? It's $90 and something that seems kinda goofy to not use if you are going to be playing all the time...also, not that I follow rules much when it comes to this kinda thing - but i wouldn't post it in a public thread, but you are violating your terms:"PASG grants to you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software solely for your own individual use during the Term and only on your personal computer." You'd be better off trying to get a refund from them than selling your license that they could undo later and then person is screwed that bought it from you. |

ChipMeUp talk / Final Table splits. would make more sense to post in the events you were going to purchase in the comments section why you aren't buying event and your suggestion and let that person reply to it (and so everyone else who bought that event can see)...but there are tons of events i've seen that i didn't consider a good deal - yet they sell, so would take us all day to discuss those. |

Have I done stupid things in life, sure...would i consider shipping drugs that could put me in jail for 20+ years, fck no. And, if I did decide to do something so stupid - I certainly wouldn't expect to sit here and throw a pity party for me. If he was "smart" enough to come up with a plan to smuggle this stuff, he surely had the means to look up what this punishment would bring had he been caught...so I can say nothing more than he deserves what anyone else would get for this crime. I don't think he deserves to be locked up for life, but whatever that society has deemed appropriate punishment - i don't see how he can argue unless someone had his family held hostage or some weird shit like that. You've basically given a blanket alibi to everyone to do anything they want (including people scamming on here as that would be a much less crime IMO than smuggling drugs)...which is pretty ridiculous. |

General / OT / HomeLand Security Takes domain names in other countries. i seem to remember people going nuts about The Patriot Act after 911, that actually some security merits and I don't hear squat from normal media about this....this is actually a very serious issue because it takes away the "innocent until proven guilty" and they can come in and 'steal' your domain name and there really ain't shit you can do about it. As an example, if CMU was owned by a US Registrar, there really is nothing stopping them from stealing this domain name.I wonder what media would be saying if this were still Bush... |

If you were to stake me for $2k and i spend it at a strip club instead and then bitch and moan about paying you back, but eventually give in and pay you back 2 months late - is everything fine and dandy now? I think that's the whole reason we put tells, because 1 week from now this thread will be completely forgotten by 95% of people. |

Getting Started on ChipMeUp / How does somone proove live results? Well if it didn't get posted anywhere, then there really would be no way to prove it. It would be like me saying I won "Home Run Derby" 5 straight weeks at home against all my friends...you'll never know if I'm telling the truth and we don't know the competition, so can't really tell if it means anything.I'd recommend just starting small with events in something you consider yourself good at and try to build +ROI, trust, rapport with buyers to slowly move up. The worst thing you can do is start real big and get negative attention from the beginning as it's hard to change people's first impressions. |

News / News Article: ChipMeUp brand new redesign launching today! i agree with mathieu, there are numerous places on the front page (and i'm sure on others) that have padding/spacing that doesn't really need to be there. This requires you to scroll down just to see bottom of page and would probably look better if it was tight together. |

The events look better as well from previous. |

Why would it be any different than what we do here on CMU w/ staking? Shouldn't you be arguing against people sat'n into tournaments as well as they would've never been in the tourney without it more than likely? I've always assumed they had some sweet deals setup with their pros about freerollin', so I don't see a diff here.Where am I going wrong here? |
