ChipMeUp talk / Payment methods for US players

Anyone have suggestions on payment methods for US players?

I have seen this list recently:
http://sunshine-slots.com/payment-methods-for-US-customers.html

It suggests:
- wire transfers
- echeck
- mypaylinq

Any thoughts?

News / Site Re-design - bugs/feature requests

@9hJhQhKhAh: no it is not rounded up to nearest dollar, but the fee for each share IS rounded (has to be done PER share because if you get some refunded each one has to be done individually).

e.g. Event 94050, $0.95 a share, you bought 50 shares. Your fee is 0.025%. Fee per share is: 0.95*0.025 = $0.02375 = 2 cents per share. Hence 50 shares * 2 cents = $1.

e.g. Event 94059, $1.95 a share, you bought 40 shares. Your fee is 0.025%. Fee per share is:
1.95*0.025 = $0.04875 = 5 cents per share. Hence 40 shares * 5 cents = $2.

News / David Saab goes down the rabbit hole.

i think people should stop arguing here.

i think a few people on this site know David (including CMU admins), and are quite upset about what has happened.

In light of this, people might not be putting together 100% logical arguments as their friend(s) have just been put in jail, and probably don't need holes in their logic pointed out...

No matter if he is proven guilty or innocent, it is still upsetting that your friend is in jail.

General / OT / Good value tournament/overlay (sorry non-US)

Winner Poker (iPoker network), currently having some good value tournaments.

The last one - 28th Jan 11 was a $50+5, 60k guarantee had only 577 entrants. (Note it was a rebuy)

There is another one about to go - 29th Jan 11 @ 19:30. A $35+3.5 tournament. (I believe this is not a rebuy)

There is one more on 31st Jan 11 @ 20:45 at $100+9 ( I think this is rebuy)

See here for more details: http://poker.winner.com/ultimate_sale.html

If you don't have a Winner Poker account yet, sign up through here: http://chipmeup.pokernews.com/url/55 and for every $ you rake you will earn CMU $.

Chipmeup Events / Event 90196: Red Rock Las Vegas - Heartland Poker Tour - Main Event - NL Holdem

My opinion is that a reasonable tip to the dealers should be considered an expense of the event and the seller should not have to pay for this themselves.

You're only going to be tipping when you're winning.

We will draw up some guidelines for live events.

@SNB: Is there a reason after you enter tourney info, it stays at the top so you have to delete the info before you enter the next tournament?

Was thinking you might want to add ten SNG's or something

@SNB: It would also be nice if you could enter the number of runners and update, without entering the finishing place. Some of us like to update while we go, when we can, so people can follow along.

Yes this has been done in the code base and will be deployed within a few days

ChipMeUp talk / Deposit/Withdrawal Methods

@carl: if you use Poli in Australia looks like CC thru MB is free. Looks like direct CC through MB international is 1.9% upload. It is difficult to work out exact fees because rules change and they charge different things depending what you are doing. But overall, over the past few years, we have found MoneyBookers to be excellent and the fees very low (e.g. 65cents to send 2k).
