News / POKERSTARS FREE-ROLLING some US PLAYERS look you guys are all drawing dead, done wasting my time.............im talking about players depositing money, that pokerstars are not taking from the depositing player, therefore the play now knows pokerstars are not taking the money, therefore start depositing more more, and this is happening to all types of players, the player that told me about this is a high stakes Reg with over a million dollars in life time earning, so i doubt his dead money, but then again Rwest vs you everybody is probably dead money, right. why would I be upset with people winning freerolls Rlse, it gets players into the game, newer players that haven't played real money, therefore they get a taste and become depositing players or regular players. have a nice life. |

News / POKERSTARS FREE-ROLLING some US PLAYERS obviously, pokerstars isn't staking players or running bot's, I'm not going to get into the details as to how it's happening to avoid more players unjustly "freerolling" against other players or myself, which is my main concern.Mango , why would I be against satellites or CMU, I'm and educated winning poker player, seriously listen to yourself, you haven't taken the proper time or effort to read my post correctly, it's totally different when you have a online site allowing players to play when they don't have money in there accounts, in fact they have a negative balance, the same players "freerolling" could well be busting you or beating you at a final table for the big $$$$, yet you don't see and issue in that, when they win the negative amount turns to a positive figure with the negative amount deducted not further "freerolling", snowballing the effect, if the lose and continue to be negative they just get to amount and cut loses by rolling, doing a runner on pokerstars. this really is an important issue not just some halfheart attention seeking effort. Harp, it has nothing to do with pro's or deals they have, or other sites buying player's in, after all they paid the entry money with positive balances in said cashier, I'm all for bigger fields and pools, that's why I play at pokerstars, but I'm also for playing players that have said entry fee in account cashier. As for Rwest, is that picture you, your so handsome, kid....... This is very serious issue a for somebody that always has an overly strong opinion to not comment but post a picture of yourself, thanks for your time, nuff said F |

News / POKERSTARS FREE-ROLLING some US PLAYERS Attention all,I bring to your attention something I believe you should all know, some of you might already be aware of it,some of you might be a one of the players I'm talking about, I'm not going to go into all the details right now. Pokerstars has been freerolling some US players, therefore people that couldn't or shouldn't be, could well be sitting across the table from you at either MTT's, SNG's or cash tables. At first pokerstars denied this to be the case, even stating it would be bad business practise to allow players to "freeroll", after continual emails and finally being confronted with a copy of the so called technical issue email supplied to one of the so called directly effected players, pokerstars said they might have had a technical issue, and directly effected players would be contacted. However I feel as players playing these "freerolling" players, we all had the right to be informed, further more we had the right to be protected from playing players that should never have been in the game in the first place, I wonder how many players that shouldn't have been in the the game busted me or went on to win that tournament, we paid our hard earned money to play tournaments or cash games and therefore should not have faced players that could be rolling pokerstars if they never freerolled thier way to a win, in which case pokerstars took away the negative balance from the profit the "freerolling" player showed, the degenerate just has a negative balance and rolls stars to find another site to play on, or create another account. Pokerstars handling of this matter has left me alarmed to say the least, they have really dropped the ball in my eyes in regards to integrity, I believed like many others they were the leaders in the online poker industry and that something like this would only happen at AP/UB, they seem to have no interest in protecting the user's/clients that make them million if not billions of dollars per year. I listen to a number of podcasts and to date have not heard anything about this, but it's now time to go public, would like to hear your experiences if you might be one of the player "freerolling" or other players thoughts on this issue. Thanks for your time frank |

Poker Strategy / Fold, call or shove? standard fold 90-100% of time from early pos bet in your position, unless player as bet UTG every orbit for last few orbits and you deem him/her active, however way to many players behind that could wake up with a real hand in full ring with whole table to act behind, to much to call to set mine as your not deep enough for implied odds to take effect and I think it would be terrible spot to limp in so early, if late position player 3bets and UTG calls, this would leave you in a terrible spot, If you were on button or in blinds would be a push at least 70% of the time depending on your read of UTG player.also i find it hard to believe you would have got paid off if you just flatted, as you can't bet flop cause I believe your hand would be way to strong and would have to let him catch up, unless you were in position and he bet into you, and after you called he would probably shut down of turn.your play was 100% right, don't be results orientated. frank |

I'd like to know if remain backs any players or just stakes through CMU.... ghosting /sweating whatever people want to call it is a little more wide spread then you might think, and pokersites could never enforce ghosting, just like they can't enforce the one person per hand rule online.........

Poker Strategy / Very interesting hand. easy fold, your only play would have been 5 bet shove repping AA or KK, however your only getting called by the bigstacks if they have AA KK QQ or AK hands that you would be drawing to 2 outs, you might get lucky get them to fold and the smaller stacks might have underpair.with your stack size I guess you could have flatted which would be marginally better the reraising here, but after flop of AQ*,KQ*,KJ* your only guessing if you don't see a 10, saint_gee is super strong here i can sense with the flat flat. look forward to seeing the outcome. |

Poker Strategy / Interesting hand? I would probably 3 bet Pre flop and I would call 4 bet shove, but dont mind the line you have taken pre flop by calling, when the flop comes AA i think I would call too, when the Q hits on turn i'm getting every chip in , and no I dont think you can ever fold to the river bet you have 50% of your stack in, however I would have had to decide on river as all money would have been in on turn and I don;t thing he would have folded either, that I believe was a major mistake in how this hand was played.why are you putting him on KK, if you dont mind be asking. I leaning towards he is bluffing in this spot, as he feels you would have 3 bet most big aces you probably play in that spot, and feels his pocket pair is good, as much as that river looks dangerous I don't think i can fold after the line your taking not reshoving turn, as when you flat turn you have to call river bet for last 50% of your stack, you can never flat turn fold river its terrible. I look forward to seeing the outcome. |

General / OT / Dont see any other way to play this.... any thoughts? I really don't think I should be giving out this advice as from quickly looking over the post's I don't think you will get anything out of it.To play this hand for a raise even in late position is a terrible play but with saying that calling a raise would have been even worse, 1/ its way to early in the tournament stack size vs blinds 65.1BB , 2/ no antes are in play. so early in play in these lower limit buy-ins people we call and once one player calls it opens the flood gates for many callers due to "pot odd's" and implied odds, if they smash flop like 22 did. when you play your hand the way you do, unless u can put them on a set which in this case, you probably could or should as why would he limp call then come out and bet 90 into a pot that well over 400 chips, its screaming please raise me, if the board had flush draw or OE str8 options it might have been a blocking bet, I guess considering the buy-in and the way you played the hand your never folding, but that's not to say your play is correct in any way, later in a tornament with bigger blinds and antes I would see nothing wrong with this play, as the blinds would represent a bigger portion of the players stack and you would be more likely to be playing the hand heads up, however before antes kick in your should be using this time to build an image/letting donk calling stations that don't fold bust out and pick way better spots then that, while conserving chips to use as weapons when the blinds and antes become worth stealing. This was to some degree a cooler but a cooler that could have very easily been avoided with the correct +EV play of folding Preflop. Frank |

Poker Strategy / are we willing to get it in here? this is really a sticky one, your bet is quite small 80 into 150 pot, so might have looked weak to him considering you bet PF and that flop looks to have not improved your hand unless you have over pair, I can say this I don't think its that bad a play to fold in that spot, considering A. you have no read B. its so early in the tournament and you have a 2900 stack of chips.I would probably flat rather then shove in this buy in and re-evaluate on turn, but you also have to consider it will probably get expensive to see down to river and a lot of cards will look dangerous. I personal think he had you beat or a massive combo draw like 2 overs and flush draw, 89d's for OE/flush draw or he could quite easily be protecting a set. in a lower buy in standard reshove. I would like to hear outcome and how you played it please post hand if you don't mind. |

ChipMeUp talk / Young Money and ChipMeUp I seriously know where you can get his home address PM and I will see what I can do for you.............It seems YM had private backing and that has fallen through, I think y'all living in fairy land if you think his going to put 2 - 5K up as a bond incase he does runner or wrong thing again. It seems YM did do the wrong thing I'm really not going to read he said/she said, I can only go on my experience, but there must well be a valid reason for so much noise. I will say this YM did make a score in the FTOPS paying other investors & me, it was little slow but it came. Am I saying his right and your all wrong no, Am i will to take another chance on him cause he paid, probably no considering the bad ora/karma that seems to be attached to his name. However I do believe making good for the money he stole/borrowed is just one step he should make ASAP, and maybe 20% surcharge for the wait, does this mean he will be forgiven I truly doubt it. Stealing from people that are willing to have faith in you and give you money in my books is just low, but with saying that we are gambling like they are gambling with our money, with gambling you have the occassional degenerate that can't handle money your's or their's. p.s I have seen crackhaads around at the table's |

Chipmeup Events / Pokerstars Magic But Not For ME!!!! limps for 800, then calls a all in for 16,630 more with 22, this guy is obviously a pro, TBH honest take it on the chin and move on, I would want him to call all day. other then that you played the hand good as you could hope for, getting it all in PF and him calling while you where massive favourite was a better result then seeing that flop and working out where you were as bare K would have had you beat as well bare 9 by river. This is why we play poker so you can get it in while such big a favourite, I know some times it seems to happen a litle to often, but I have seen flopped nut flushes be one outered on river by gut shot straight flush, where the guy was 95% fav to 4.47% underdog after flop, which is a worse suck out then this, however I do feel your pain. If you asked him he probably would have said he knew he was behind, I mean whats 22 ahead of, I will never understand why he would make this call even with 41,017 , or for that matter take the line he took not open raising, make note of it in your stars note pad and hope to come accross him at tables soon. I think the point was missed, he bet why?, should he bet fold, no way........
after taking the line he did his either way ahead or way behind, I'm thinking his gut told him he might be ahead hence the bet, therefore why back out after commiting so many chips....... just weak play, if your going to play your instict/read or pick a line to take, you just can't back down after commiting that many chips..... Do I think this hand was played wrong, the answer would be yes, bet way too much PF, showing no pot control, out of position and commited way too many chips after flop to fold, but considering the line he took he just can't fold for many reason's, image being the main reason..... what better flop do you want with 88, he either has over pair or not, considering the action its hard to think thats the case. GL in future milkman, learn to back your read, if you were going to bet fold you could have bet way less........ |
