News / News Article: TonyG tells it how it is - FTP & Black Friday Alright, one question; Is anyone think it looks good for Tony G. to spend so much time talking about Full Tilt when his own company hasn't offered to cash out US players yet?The article asks to hear my thoughts on Tony G's comments. As a US member of CMU, I am very perplexed as to why he ignores the fact his own company owes US players but he only seems concerned with Full Tilt. I realy thought I liked Tony G. at least I wanted to. He struck me as a very strait forward honest guy. What are US CMU members that have been waiting for them to cut us checks supposed to think. We didnt ask for the cmu$ option, many of us have larger balances then we otherwise would have had to cover our fees. These balance's were because of CMU's policy of paying out CMU$ to those who invested with CMU$. Most of us have 100% positive feedback, many with 100's of fellow CMU members as satisfied investors + buyers. We always followed CMU's rules. I for one had faith in this company on poker News + Tony G's good name. Most of us only had CMU$ balances because we were good standing members here that always wanted to be liquid for our investors. Please CMU, cut US players a check or at least tell us what options may come available and a loose time frame. Even a dedicated thread or something. I DONT CARE if you dont have anything to update because you haven't given practically any since b/f accept a doomed attempt at re-instating US members action. Please take an action that puts CMU, Tony G., and the Poker News names in a respectable lite. |

I am more comfortable knowing that CMU sees the grey market as being too unpredictable.Thank you Admin for contacting me also, I hadnt read these forums for a few days in an effort to not "complain" so much. I am sorry if reality doesn't taste good to you. This is a shame, I wish none of this ever happened with our loved game. I may have been negative but NO ONE else was willing to play devils advocate. All I want are regular updated that make sense. The cake option and CMU opening up to US business without a reliable withdrawal method just didnt make good sense. Let me make it clear, I wish it had!!!!! |

I had enough on here to do whatever business I wanted to do honestly. No one on here can say I didnt ship whatever I was obligated to ship, as soon as I could. I had just enough on here to keep things fluid. I just want the same treatment from cmu that I gave everyone I did business with here. Apparently that's a ridiculable idea. |

I have 2 withdrawals from full tilt in limbo, I withdrew with a check and by wire the day b4 the shit hit the fan. Both for way more then I have here. I have only made 1 forum post at 2+2 and sent 1 e-mail to remind them I had those withdrawals in limbo. Neither of them have shown back up in my account yet. But I still dont complain about that situation like I do this cmu situation. I know Full Tilt will get me may money and they won't make me transfer it to cake! They also have updated to my satisfaction.My issue with CMU is they want me to continue business here w/o a withdraw method. They haven't updated us as they promised while Tony G. go's around criticizing FTP for the same issue. Then to top it off they come out with a problem solved article effectively closing the door on the issue. I don't want to have to take risks with my balance when they could just cut me a bloody check. It may seem like I am complaining excessively also when I am only responding to posts, this is just a response to RW, if it wasnt for his post this one would not exist. Anyhoot I am glad you understand to an extent and thanks for the offer to help + suggestions. Like I say, I have only posted/contacted FTP about this issue 2 times, the CMU situation I have likely contacted/posted 25+ times, I see the 2 as drastically different at this stage. I'll try to avoid anymore complaining, I'm even bothering myself...... |

By providing a grey market site as the solution. They are and have been IGNORING real solutions and I am starting to strongly suspect they will continue this policy. It realy dosnt seem to matter tho, I seem to be the only one with an issue about the grey market "cash out method". I suppose I should reconsider the option myself as I am sure the window for this methods success is drawing shorter each day. |

And you may have figured out how to get your money off but it was a heck of a gamble, just like when a donk open shoves 10/J suited and cracks a/a the 1st time he dose it, it may have worked but that dosnt mean it was the correct play. |

Now I didnt know I had to be a high roller to be a good member, I never cared about referrals but I always plugged cmu at my tables, supported other upstanding members in anything I could from money transfers to rail support whenever I had an opportunity. SO you tell me to just wait, wait for what? I have no interest in continuing to "be let back here" if I dont have a flippin way to cash out. I can see that logic is hard for you to understand, if you beleive anything offered is a solid solution your critical thinking skills are flawed. Am I complaining? Yes I am after weeks without ANY anfo on how we can cashout directly and safely I am, especially when someone I am lead to beleive is an owner of this place is running around talking about how Full Tilt is handling this when his own company is ignoring the very issue he is criticizing Full Tilt for. Unless you can 100% guarantee I will get my $ safely and directly then I suggest you shut up yourself. I have done business with you here, I have always been supportive and honest, that's why I have funds tied up here.So answer me 2 questions; If there is no safe, guaranteed, direct way to cashout and no discussion of one pending why would you want to do business before there was such a method in place? Would you go to a poker room at a casino and buy chips if you did not know if you will be able to cash them out after your session? |

Please Admin, we have been patiently waiting for you to give us an indication of when you can ship us a check. Most of us have been good members, please just let us know your still working on it, I'm starting to get the feeling your plan is to just force US players to open and transfer to these 3rd rate sites we wouldn't have opened accounts at when everything was normal. |

I'v worked hard threw my life to maintain a positive mindset, I'm sure I'll be over it in 10 minutes but right now I sure feel gross. I also understand the idea that the absence of news is the reason for the silence. I disagree that full tilt has been more silent or that Cmu has more to worry about then the poker sites. I strongly disagree with the use of the 3rd rate poker sites that are still dim enough to continue business with the US, 1 by 1 they are dropping payment prepossessing options, imo it just a matter of time before they all freeze and then your money will be in limbo with some 3'rd rate site no one knows anything about.Even if new news hasn't arisen I would at least like to know what actions are being taken and what timelines might be achievable. I beleive Cmu is working on this, I just wish the work was somewhat transparent. |
