Chipmeup Events / Event 100663: WSOP - 2011 Main Event

So sorry guys. After missing the ME there for the last 3 yrs, was really looking forward to giving it another run this year.

But I got food poisoning here in Asia 3 days ago( Lesson: Watch Out where you eat raw fish), and yesterday ended up in a Makati hospital. Held out til last minute to make the final flight to still play 1D, but my stomach just would not let me gamble that much. Did not make it.

Thank You All for the Great support. I truly wanted to give CMU-ers a terrific payday with a score in this one, especially in these tuff times in our industry. GL to all of you still in action, esp to DStacy---sorry I missed a chance to take some shares!

Will fly home in 2-3 days, to Slovenia for the WPT in Portoroz the 17th. If there is reasonable a way to offer some shares there, I will. PartyPoker seems to agree a Slovenian should win the 1st SLO WPT,so I accept the responsibility.

Chipmeup Events / Event 100314: WPT - Barcelona ME

Really Sorry all. Regretfully Out in Level 4. Had such a good table, got an early lead, looked to be a great 1st day. Then got rivered thrice by straigth draws, and with 16k left called a RR with AQs v.s a guy sure to bust soon--had been raising w/ 47,8J and so forth....flop came 23Q, and i checkraised hi 5k bet allin just not beleiving he had teh big pair. IT was AA this time.

Not happy with myself allowing a bust this early w/ such a perfect field. Tx for the support...

No more tourneys til the WSOP ME, only one I'll play in Vegas this year.... Have a great summer everyone!

Thank you all sincerely for the great support. Is my last tourney 'til the WSOP ME 10k, so am hoping to put up a respectable effort. Am well-rested, on the right schedule, and really ready for Day 1a tomorrow. Time to win one of these, why not this one, right?

Ali T. won't be allowed here, so one less criminal to worry about stealing 300,000 euro from us... Won't be any strange bloggers standing behind me this time, I promise.

Chipmeup Events / Event 99178: European Poker Tour - EPT Madrid PLO/NLH

Had a tough time all night winning a pot that would put me ahead. After 8 levels, 22 players left, I called an allin 20k w/ A6 vs bigstack A3, clearly going after my bounty $. Flopped the 3 and i was Out.

Managed to pick up 2 bounties at 500euro/per so there is a 1000euro cashout. Have asked cmu admin to convert and payout.

Tx all for the support. Will play Barcelona WPT in 10 days ME + a side event. I expect to be ready for that.

4th level got into a big preflop pot, rivering the full house....unfortunately to the big FH. Regret busting with the payoff 7k allin for sure, but was hard to believe he flopped top set in this situation.

Ty for the support...

Was an ugly day, sorry to report...

First 5 levels drawing the feature table, including Durr and Joe Cada directly on my left, was not ideal...but survived it with 35k.

Last 4 levels slowly chipped up to 50k in Level 7...then got called on turn and river Twice, by hands that u'd think Russ Hamilton was playing in disguise.

Have to hope our remaining 7BB lottery ticket can hit early, and again...to somehow get back in it Day 2. With the shuttle taking an hour to get there, I gotta make sure I'm there EARLY tomorrow!!

Sorry guys....busted 12 minutes b4 day one ended. Went broke early when making backfoor flush v.s the nut flush. Re-bought but w/ o cards to work with, slowly lost chips for the next 6 hrs, finally shorstacked ran into aces twice. Regrets..was hoping to cash 3 straight for a change.

Will be ready for Madrid.

This was changed to an evening event...will be 8pm local time.

Running well in small side-events for months, esp plo and mixed events. Got 1st, finally in the plo last weekend in Dublin. Will be rested, and is my last event in SR. Probably not throwing your $ away here.

Chipmeup Events / Event 97947: European Poker Tour - San Remo Main Event

Sometimes after these tournaments you feel like it might insread of playing be faster, cheaper, more pleasant...to fly to San Francisco, get drunk in the wrong neighborhood, get pulled into a dark alley and gang-raped by a group of fellows coming home from thier bachelor-bachelor party.

Busted 83rd for 11k euro.

Pre-bubble Twice raised vs blinds, flopped big, checked behind, then called happily the turn and river bluffs, only to realize I gave the guy runner runner 2-pair and RRunner baby straight, thus losing 1/2 my chips. Then on actual bubble raised on button with 77, had 80k of ave 230-ish, was RR allin by Greek kid-big-atack, and uncharacteristically I folded the hand i was 90% sure was best. 65k left at bubble, and after 40-50 minutes, that broke.

Built up w/ a double up K6 BB vs bigstack raise on button, who had 67....now 250k.

Key big pot hand that could have sent us to the deep part of this tourney:
AKs utg, raised to 20k, called by Max, raised to 55k by 230k Greek youngster. Thought for awhile then i shipped the 250 allin. 2 fold would = 340k in chips, a call and win = 520 in chips. What did he call the 4-bet allin with? JJ. And that knocked me down to 30k.

With great luck, Tripled up to 100. Then got it in with 88 vs 33 to get back in it, and he flopped the 3 for the 230k pot. Frustrating, for sure..

PLO/NLH mix tomorrow eve at 8pm. Been running well for months in the small side-events...regretfully most not posted here..

The 2k side-event today is a Cancellation, due to the ME still going this afternoon..so refunds coming.

TY all for the support!!

Chips flying everywhere, but was card-dead most of day, so could not get my share..2nd day straight day 10-10 was best hand.

Was never all-in, properly called a key 16k river bluff w/ K high, and basically slowly chipped-me-up, staying in the 80-13ok range all day.

Going to Day 3( 4 days to go) tomorrow 12 noon, below average w/ 143k/33BBs, w/ 177 players left. Good enough for now, methinks..

Fairly standard, uneventful 1st day, except for trapping myself into the big coinflip on flop hand(below), mid-day. Going now to day 2, after 1 day Off to shave, swim and bike around town a bit, w/ 80k(65+BBs), ave = approx 60k. Total entries should be 1000+, so 1st will be a monster payout again this year.

With 39k called the RRaise 4100 w/ 67 suited, quite sure it was a big pair. Then Check-raised allin on the 853 flushdraw flop, and was snap called by the red aces. Rivered the flush, otherwise this would have been the standard 'Thanks for the support anyway' posting.

Playing quite ok for 30 straight levels now....will try for 9 more on Friday.

Dwayne, IF by chance the cancellation clause is not ok for you, just cancel my shares, and re-open the selling as works best for you. No hard feelings, of course. GL!

I'll take the rest of what's left, assuming the 1.415 or whatever buy/payoff rate is the same both ways.

Also, Dwayne, my policy always has been that I never have any interest, and vice-versa, in another player dealt into the same hand at my table. So let's please Agree that If on Day 2 or later, we end up at the same table: a)you identify yourself to me and b) We Cancel these shares( even if FT of course) so I have no conflicting interest in you. Ok?

GL....
