I am a Dutch guy, my real name is Eric, playing part-part-parttime poker (how much parts of parttime leaves me that?), mostly on Pokerstars. Mostly playing small tourneys from 2.20 to 11 dollar and sng in the same range. I did have a few nice results over the past few years, nothing compared to some of the results I see here though and certainly nothing to brag about, but variance and large fields combined with just a small number of tourneys a week is not really great for my ratings overall. I know you have to play more to be able to learn more and win more.
Way too little play anyway at the moment to be really good at it, because of being too busy with other stuff (the main reason why I have not listed events myself in all that time I have been here, but keep to backing others.) I do love the game though and all the interaction that comes with it. Sometimes I watch people get completely overboard and insulting towards others after losing a big pot or being kicked out on a bad beat. Money is nice, but it is not everything, at least not to me. Respect is a basic value that you need too, even if it is behind a computer screen. Fun is another. Laugh at yourself at times, it is refreshing.
CMU is a great site, not only to try and win some money, but also for learning more about the game by watching better players and from that get better myself. It is good to see how people interact with eachother and encourage others in their achievements and skills, one of the hidden values of CMU.
Next to poker I write a little and try to keep my website with music updated (when time allows)
The Dreamer's Dream Music Database
The Dreamer's Dream Website
Good luck to all in all that you do.
