ChipMeUp & PokerNews - Promotion Terms & Conditions
The following are the terms and conditions of the "20 WSOP Fantasy League Competition" (the "Promotion"). The Promotion is organized and promoted by ChipMeUp (the "Organizer"). Your participation in this promotion shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions herein.1. The promotion will commence on April 15, 2011 and conclude on Wednesday July 20, 2011 (inclusive) – together, the “promotion period”.
2. Entry to the Promotion is available only to persons who are over the age of 18 (the "Required Age") before the Start Date. You may be asked at any stage to provide the Organizer or a third party with proof of age and/or identity. If you fail to provide such proof or the Organizer discovers, at any stage, that you were not over the Required Age before the Start Date, the Organizer, at its sole discretion, will be authorized to disqualify you from participating in the Promotion and/or withdraw any prizes won by you in the Promotion.
3. Unless provided with special written permission by the Organizers, employees and relatives of employees of the Organizers and any entities affiliated or related to the Organizers shall not be eligible to enter the Qualifiers and the Event. For the purposes herein, the term “relative” shall mean spouse, partner, parent, child or sibling.
4. In order to take part in the Promotion and in the Event you must be a chipmeup.pokernews.com member and have an active user account with the Organizer at ChipMeUp.com prior to the start date.
5. The winner of the “Pro League” component of the Promotion (the "Pro Winner") shall win a prize (the "Pro Prize") which will consist of 70% of the entry fees collected for the "Pro League" competition. This will be awarded as ordinary ChipMeUp $.
6. The first runner up of the “Pro League” component of the Promotion shall win a prize which will consist of 20% of the entry fees collected for the "Pro League" competition. This will be awarded as ordinary ChipMeUp $.
7. The second runner up of the “Pro League” component of the Promotion shall win a prize which will consist of 10% of the entry fees collected for the "Pro League" competition. This will be awarded as ordinary ChipMeUp $.
8. The winner of the “Amateur League” component of the Promotion (the "Amateur Winner") shall win a prize (the "Amateur Prize") in the amount of USD 200 awarded at Winner Poker or RPM Poker.
9. The first runner up of the “Amateur League” component of the Promotion shall win a prize in the amount of USD 100 awarded at Winner Poker or RPM Poker.
10. The first runner up of the “Amateur League” component of the Promotion shall win a prize in the amount of USD 50 awarded at Winner Poker or RPM Poker.
11. Participants within the Promotion are only eligible to win one major prize (hereby defined as the Pro Prize and the Amateur Prize). Should you win a second major prize, you will forfeit any claim to the prize of lesser monetary value, to be awarded to the next eligible winner, at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
12. The Organizers decision is final with respect to all matters relating to the Winners and the awarding of the Prizes, and shall not be subject to review or appeal by you or by any third party.
13. The Organizer reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time and at its sole discretion.
14. These terms and conditions have been drafted in the English language. In the event of any discrepancy between the meanings of any translated versions of these terms and conditions and the English language version, the meaning of the English language version shall prevail
15. These terms and conditions and any matters relating hereto shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Royal Courts of Justice, London, England.
