Rush Poker Tournaments

Not long ago we talked about the newly released Rush Poker at FullTilt and a lot of people gave us their opinions on the new format.

This week they released Rush Poker Tournaments which is certainly an interesting concept in online poker and a format that only FullTilt offers.

The idea is the same as the cash games, where as soon as you fold your hand, you are instantly moved to another table with new opponents. This format allows for some pretty frantic action, as you are always either moving to a new table or playing a hand. The trade-off is that you'll get to see a lot more hands per hour, but there's no real chance to develop a read on your opponents.

Once a tournament gets down to 30 players, it will be played short handed (6 players per table) and when it reaches the final table, it returns to the normal poker format.

You'll find the Rush Poker tournaments in the FullTilt lobby with a small black 'R' icon. They are currently playing No Limit Holdem events at all levels, but expect other game types in the future. There will even be Rush tournaments in the upcoming FTOPS Series.

Takezo1980 (2 years ago - 19 Apr 2010 13:31 UTC) mehh I love to play em.. but.. They will attract alot of donks, who otherwise would be playing “Normal” MTT’s where we have an bigger edge with our tools then we have in rush.. All good and fun.. butt I dunno

Tzeleniz (2 years ago - 25 Apr 2010 15:33 UTC) I find in rush Cashies you can Use Position To your Advantage Quite alot more than in Regular FR or 6M tables… Kinda find that Rush Cashies have a very similar feel to 2-7 Single Draw LB psychology-wise.. Look forward to trying Rush Tornies Soon : )
