With 142 players left in the WSOP Main Event, Zo "pokerproplaya08" Karim is still a condender to win the biggest poker tournament of the year.
pokerproplaya08 has been a regular member of ChipMeUp and popular contributor to the website since 2009. He has accumulated nearly 500 positive feedbacks, has bought 13,000 shares and has created nearly 200 events at ChipMeUp.
In the Main Event, he currently has 462,000 chips - unfortunately this is well below the average of 1,450,352, but he is certainly not out of it yet. He now goes into day 6 of the tournament and has guaranteed himself a payout of at least $54,851.
pokerproplaya08 has had some good success online - notably a 2nd place finish in a FTOPS event @ FullTilt.
Some other big stacks and notable players include Sebastian Ruthenberg, JP Kelly, Tony Hachem, Jean-Robert Bellande, Aaron Jones, Daryl Jace, Allen Cunningham, Joseph Cheong, Ray Henson, David Sands, Sorel Mizzi, Eli Elezra and Erick Lindgren.
We wish Zo the best of luck for the remainder of the tournament and can only hope he makes it to the final 9 who playoff in November for the $8,711,956 first prize.
Oh, and if anyone speaks to him, tell him to give us some twitter updates so we can all keep up to date on his progress :)

phatchoy888. If I don’t win, I hope he does. Very few people in poker who I actually care about like I do Choy. I’d be just as happy for him to win as I would be if I was to win. |

Zo Knows Poker Zo KarimBen Mintz opened the pot to 60,000 from middle position, and Zo Karim flatted a couple seats over. On the button, Peter Feldman squeezed all in for 703,000, and Mintz ducked out of the way. Karim made the call, though, having worked his short stack up to an amount that covered his opponent. Feldman was at risk, and the cards were on their backs. The board gave nothing to “Nordberg”. For Karim, these chips have been a long time coming. thx all, hope I can get back on the ball 2morrow. I acted like a tool when I snapped this kid who was annoying the fk out of me earlier on the tbl, he jammed like 700k or so from the BB over my open and I had KK n hellmuth’d, I literally jumped out of my seat n said YES! i got em cuz I literally hadn’t ever got any action from AA/KK the few (5 times in 6 days of play…lol thats between the 2) . Obv he has a6 n it comes out 62596. Poker karma ha. I obv apologized b4 the hand had even been given a flop, they might show it on the TV. was kinda funny tho. Then at end of night I picked up a few hands and 4balled in a spot n picked up chips…then lost with j9 on a j1084J board vs PokerKaiser who tabled KJ. FML hope 2morrow I can start like I did today. |
