Anonymous heads-up games @ Party Poker

Anonymous heads-up games @ Party Poker Party Poker have just released a new version of their software and it now includes a new game option.

Anonymous heads-up No Limit Holdem means that players at the table will have their screen names hidden, and instead see the names 'Player 1' and 'Player 2'.

This means that instead of relying on stats, notes or memory, participants will need to quickly adapt to the unknown opponent each time they sit down at the table.

It also means that the top heads-up players in the world might be able to find a lot more action at the tables because people don't know their identity.

One of the other new features of the new Party Poker update includes the 'Rabbit Hunt' option (seeing the next card that was meant to be pulled from the deck after the hand has finished) and the ability to show one or both of your hole cards at the end of the hand.

Party is still one of the top online sites and it's nice to see them continually adding new features and game variations (read our article about Double Holdem).

Don't forget that ChipMeUp offers new players the opportunity to claim $50 absolutely free when signing up to Party Poker.

i think i’ve emailed stars and tilt about the ability to show one card numerous times. i would also like them to add an option to have your cards dealt face down and then have you slide your mouse of them to expose the corners, just like a pocket cam.

anyways, nothing i don’t like about the above article. sucks i can’t play on that site.

Some of the new party poker features are cool. wish i could play there also. i like the sliding the mouse over the cards idea but do you think it would get to be a pain if/when multi-tabling?

you can opt to enable or disable it…i would only use it when down to my last one or two tables

I personally think they should start doing this in MTTs as well, just have players numbered 1-entrants and that way all of this stat/cheat software will be useless except for what was done in that tourney.

this would destroy the staking business though…“no, i was player 47 who won the tournament…i was player 215 that busted way before the money”

rwestover rwestover (about 1 year ago - 22 Nov 2010 20:51 UTC)

edit: “no i wasn’t player 47…”

well after you finished/got eliminated, it would change your player name from “player 47” to “rwestover” or whatever your handle was in the tourney lobby…it’s only hidden for the time you are active – where someone could use the cheating info against you.

cant agree mango. ur saying to take away the work u put in w/o software also by making all players annonymous? bad idea whether u use software or not. everyone loses in that case imo. 2c ended.
