What is a Custom Event?

A Custom Event allows a user to specify any sort of staking and basically allows a player to raise enough money to fund a combination of tournaments and/or cash games. For example, a player may be interested in staking themselves for the following:

• $2150 to play ten $215 Sit and Go's
• $10,000 to play a cash game, stopping when they reach 1000 hands or double their money
• $5000 to play various live events
• $10,000 WSOP main event tournament, and $2,000 to play in a cash game.

It is up to the seller to specify as many details as they can, e.g:

• How they will be accountable (e.g. posting the ID's of the SNG's they will play, specifying where they will play the cash games etc).
• When the Custom Event will be over (e.g. number of hands or length of time)
• When they will pay out buyers
• If they will be contactable by Instant Messaging etc.
• Their previous results, perhaps with links to online stats sites.

Buyers should be aware that Custom Event event results are more difficult to track than normal events (as there may be no set tournament to check the results for). Buyers should only buy from sellers they trust.

Custom Events do not have a predefined start time, but will start whenever the seller is ready. You do not have to sell all your shares to set a Custom Event to 'Running'. The seller can choose to start their event at any time, but once the event is 'Running', no more shares are available for purchase.
