How does a seller update My Balance?

Before you create an Event as a seller you will need to add money into My Balance. Each time you create an event a small fee is deducted from your My Balance. See - ChipMeUp Fees.

This is the fee ChipMeUp charges sellers for making an event available for people to buy shares in. The fee is determined by the size of the buyin. This fee will be deducted from your balance when you create an event.

The fee can be refunded if the following is true:

1. No one buys a share in your event.

2. You do not specify any winnings for the event.

The fees are very small, and the seller can always pass this small cost onto the seller by marginally increasing the price of the share.

To update your Balance, click on Balance on the left hand side menu. The page lists your credits (money transferred into 'Balance') and debits (each fee paid for all events).

Then click on 'Add Money'.
