CaseyKastle (10 months ago - 25 Apr 2011 18:29 UTC) Confirming start day will be 1a Wed, April 27 1pm CE time. Yes, I’ve heard the comments, thank you. Apologies on the continued bad cmu-posting/non-posting timing. After busting the ME, I did win the Irish plo last night after 3 hrs hu, w/ no deal. Just never somehow expect to bust day 1 in the ME, so posting an event the day after seems pointless. In any case, despite the horrible run in MEs, I do think a good 3-5 day effort should be coming sometime soon. TY CMU-ers for continued support of my efforts, and of the wonderful CMU concept. ck |
Snize (10 months ago - 26 Apr 2011 04:02 UTC) gl casey :) |
CaseyKastle (10 months ago - 26 Apr 2011 15:33 UTC) TY all for the support. In sunny SR now to rest up and get ready, already registered for Day 1a tomorrow. Feel good about finishing the IO PLO in a long hu see-saw battle, after basically leading wire-wire for 15 levels. The 2-day sprints have been fine for many months. Time to run a good 5-day marathon now, right? |
havenrl (10 months ago - 27 Apr 2011 11:40 UTC) Good luck Casey! |
Yorgk (10 months ago - 27 Apr 2011 19:49 UTC) tid sir! |
CaseyKastle (10 months ago - 28 Apr 2011 00:33 UTC) Fairly standard, uneventful 1st day, except for trapping myself into the big coinflip on flop hand(below), mid-day. Going now to day 2, after 1 day Off to shave, swim and bike around town a bit, w/ 80k(65+BBs), ave = approx 60k. Total entries should be 1000+, so 1st will be a monster payout again this year. With 39k called the RRaise 4100 w/ 67 suited, quite sure it was a big pair. Then Check-raised allin on the 853 flushdraw flop, and was snap called by the red aces. Rivered the flush, otherwise this would have been the standard ‘Thanks for the support anyway’ posting. Playing quite ok for 30 straight levels now….will try for 9 more on Friday. |
Yorgk (9 months ago - 29 Apr 2011 19:33 UTC) how did day 2 go? |
Snize (9 months ago - 29 Apr 2011 22:44 UTC) hes a bit under average with 143300 chips ( 180k is avg. ) gj casey, all i have read is you lost a bit against vanessa selbst but that was all information i found :) take it down! |
CaseyKastle (9 months ago - 29 Apr 2011 22:57 UTC) Chips flying everywhere, but was card-dead most of day, so could not get my share..2nd day straight day 10-10 was best hand. Was never all-in, properly called a key 16k river bluff w/ K high, and basically slowly chipped-me-up, staying in the 80-13ok range all day.Going to Day 3( 4 days to go) tomorrow 12 noon, below average w/ 143k/33BBs, w/ 177 players left. Good enough for now, methinks.. |
DwayneStacey (9 months ago - 29 Apr 2011 23:18 UTC) Great job Casey. |

Snize (9 months ago - 30 Apr 2011 14:48 UTC) 4.35pm: King of the Casey After his bet Max Heinzelmann then raised to 53,000. Kastle moved his chips forward and Heinzelmann immediately called, turning over A♥Q♥. The tens were good as the board came 9♠4♦3♣4♠3♠ to take Kastle up to 250,000. Heinzelmann, who not long ago had 1,000,000 chips, is now down to around 300,000. – SB |
Snize (9 months ago - 30 Apr 2011 14:59 UTC) Level 19: blinds 4,000-8,000, ante 500 |

CaseyKastle (9 months ago - 30 Apr 2011 23:55 UTC) Sometimes after these tournaments you feel like it might insread of playing be faster, cheaper, more pleasant…to fly to San Francisco, get drunk in the wrong neighborhood, get pulled into a dark alley and gang-raped by a group of fellows coming home from thier bachelor-bachelor party. Busted 83rd for 11k euro. Pre-bubble Twice raised vs blinds, flopped big, checked behind, then called happily the turn and river bluffs, only to realize I gave the guy runner runner 2-pair and RRunner baby straight, thus losing 1/2 my chips. Then on actual bubble raised on button with 77, had 80k of ave 230-ish, was RR allin by Greek kid-big-atack, and uncharacteristically I folded the hand i was 90% sure was best. 65k left at bubble, and after 40-50 minutes, that broke. Built up w/ a double up K6 BB vs bigstack raise on button, who had 67….now 250k. Key big pot hand that could have sent us to the deep part of this tourney: With great luck, Tripled up to 100. Then got it in with 88 vs 33 to get back in it, and he flopped the 3 for the 230k pot. Frustrating, for sure.. PLO/NLH mix tomorrow eve at 8pm. Been running well for months in the small side-events…regretfully most not posted here.. The 2k side-event today is a Cancellation, due to the ME still going this afternoon..so refunds coming. TY all for the support!! |
Snize (9 months ago - 01 May 2011 00:08 UTC) 11000 euro = 16268 dollar :) |
Snize (9 months ago - 01 May 2011 00:11 UTC) hope you run the main event in madrid? :) |
CaseyKastle (9 months ago - 01 May 2011 01:01 UTC) Ok, not sure how the conversion rates are applied here..sorry I posted the number in euros. I guess I’m not used to reporting wins here. Did write to cmu admin to ask them to make the proper adjustments, so am sure they will. TX for the support!!! |
admin (9 months ago - 02 May 2011 00:34 UTC) The final winnings have been converted to USD at the same conversion rate that the buyin was. The buyin was 5300 EUR, Casey listed the event as $7677USD. So the winnings are converted to EUR at the same rate: (7677/5300)*11000 = $15,933 USD |
CaseyKastle (9 months ago - 02 May 2011 01:45 UTC) TY admin….and TY CMU-ers for the support. |
