Description
I am playing well at the moment with some good finishes, profits and good ROI. Multi MTT events are more popular so I will give this approach a try as it creates more value for the backer. Most of my MTT Combos have been in the money. 14.15 $20K GTD $20 Fixed: 1 Rebuy 1 Add on - Total $62 15.00 $80K GTD $55 Freezout - Total $55 16.00 $60K GTD $11 Unlimtd: Upto 3 Rebuys 1 Addon - $51 The 3 tournament event is total cost of $18 with unused rebuys and add ons being added to prize pool. The total GTD prize pool is $160K but likely to finally end up around $300K. IN TERMS OF TIMING TO PLAY THE EVENT - IF THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST FRI NIGHT THEN I WILL RUN THE EVENT THEN, OTHERWISE IF IT TAKES A BIT LONGER TO SELL OUT THEN I WILL RUN IT IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. Good Luck all.

Hello all,
a correction to the description above. It should say the total cost is $168 and not say $18. As per below;

The 3 tournament event is total cost of $168 with unused rebuys and add ons being added to prize pool.

Guys a slight delay in starting this event.
I am going to run the event on Tuesday.

As a gesture for starting the event late – I will add the $30K GTD MTT to this event – as a freebie.

You all get the same share % in the $30K GTD as you have in this event above for any winnings.

Good Luck

$20K GTD I auto rebought to go to 6k. Built my stack nicely to 11K. Winning AK vs 22 race. I had AK.
A bit unlucky not to get to 14K. I had QJ spades and from button and std raised. Called by big blind. Flop came J high and flush draw. I bet out strong he raises strong so I know am behind to a higher kicker or better hand. I put him all in as he is smaller stack to gamble with the flush draw and top pair. He shows KJ and we miss the flush on turn and river.

Down to 8k chips. I have added on. So 11k.
192 of 889 players. Total entrants of 1,096. Total prize pool is $52K

4pm US Eastn time

$20K GTD

11k Chips. I made a bad call and got lucky.
I had Two pair vs str8 and hit boat on river.
Not much else to report. I need to tighten up in this a bit.

$20K GTD: 276 of 699 players

Mr_iPoker (about 1 year ago - 09 Mar 2010 21:11 UTC)

$80K GTD

A disciplined fold with AQ to an A flop to a big raise on the flop which felt like the right decision.

Good fold pre-flop to a re-raise with 10 10 as other big stack player had AK and hit straight on his all in so my set would have lost.

Next hand Aces won and doubled up.

My AK collected a few more chips.

5k chips
426 of 1,543 players
A total of 2,246 players entered.
Prize pot of $112K

5pm US Eastern:
$20K GTD
20k chips.
150 / 373 player remaining.
Main hand in the last hour was A7 in late position. A smaller stack about half mine was pushing all in with all types of hands. It was a marginal call and he showed JJ but we won the race.

$80K GTD
7k chips
402 / 713 players remaining
Collected some chips with some raises and playing from position. Flopped a boat but no action.

$60K GTD
15k chips
54 of 2,062 players remaining.
A total of 2,724 players entered. The total pot will approach $100K.

A very nice start.
I rebought straight away.
We got aces a few times and nut flush flop.
So I built our stack from 3k to 15k.
We will most likely have $20 unused rebuys which will got to prize pot. I will add on.

$20K GTD
Out in 332 of 1,096

I have KQ on the big blind and button min raiser. I re-raise all in from 1200 to 16k. As he has been stealing near the button and am putting him on marginal hand at best. We are similar stacks so just expect to take the pot down. And the donkey calls with A9 for his tournament and we both miss.

I just cannot account for such a poor call against another mid stack by that player.

I should have 3 bet his raise but he is the type of player to shove I am sure.

Better luck next time guys.

Still in the others.

Mr_iPoker (about 1 year ago - 09 Mar 2010 22:50 UTC)

The guy who got the chips from me reached 40k chips and went out shortly after.

It was not surprising.

Ok onto the others.

GL for those guys

Won with KK vs 99 to almost double through earlier on

Mr_iPoker (about 1 year ago - 09 Mar 2010 23:08 UTC)

$80K GTD
We have now made the money.
Just to confirm the main hand to get to 20k chips earlier was QQ where we trebled up vs AQ bigger stack trying to make a move. I flat called his raise and another phew stacks did too. A low flop and our hand held up.

Mr_iPoker (about 1 year ago - 09 Mar 2010 23:39 UTC)

$80K GTD
Out in 203 of 2,246 players for $112.30

Final hand is KQ on the button.
Big stack raises. I re-raise to commit my stack. He goes all in with A7. We hit the K on flop and he hits the Ace on turn.

The next time I see KQ I am instantly folding it lol.

Ok so we have $20 of rebuys not used as well as $112.30 winnings from the $80K GTD. So total to the prize pot right now is $132.30

I am looking for a MONSTER finish in the $60k.

Ship it baby:)

Mr_iPoker (about 1 year ago - 10 Mar 2010 00:05 UTC)

$60K GTD

Not much has worked in past hour. Getting a lot of action on premium hands but can’t hit anything with them. Caught in two minds with AQ near the button vs a wild big stack re-raise. Took the flop but it didn’t work and played it out of position.

Maybe it was a fold or commit with my hand there.

So 18k chips down from 32k chips.
295 of 397 remaining.
Money places are top 396
So approaching the money.

Mixed night so far. What comes next….

Mr_iPoker (about 1 year ago - 10 Mar 2010 00:29 UTC)

$60K GTD out in 321 of 2,724 players

We monied for $75.60

So total win of $207.90

Even though I was ITM in 2 out of 3 events.
It has been a very frustrating night. Partly because things didn’t go my way but also because I was not at my best tonight.

In any case we returned a profit.

Thanks for your support all!

Mr_iPoker (about 1 year ago - 10 Mar 2010 00:48 UTC)

The final play in $60K GTD by the way.

I got disconnected just before my big blind which was nice….

The short stacked and blinds coming round again at 1.5 and 3 and I think I had 11.5K left.

I was first into the pot with King small and this was good enough for a stack committing raise. All fold round to 7 8 suited fish and big blind. We hit 3 on flop and they hit 7 which holds.

So much promise but not a big finish.

Next time eh:)
